Our Story

The Dreamers Collective creates space for dreamers, makers, and everyone in between or beyond. We organize workshops, gatherings, and cultural programs where seasonal philosophy, art, reflection, and community come together.

At The Dreamers Collective, we use creativity as a way to make dreams tangible. In our workshops, we work with collage, writing, zines, visual storytelling, and conversation. You do not need any experience to join — curiosity is enough. What you create is not only something beautiful to take home, but also a moment of attention, connection, and meaning.

We are inspired by the idea that social change begins with imagination. If we cannot imagine a new world, how can we build one? That is why we ask questions such as: What do we still dare to imagine? Who do you want to be, beyond other people’s expectations? And what could a softer, freer, more hopeful everyday life look like?

We have previously organized a vision board workshop at The Grey Space in The Hague to raise money for Stichting Vluchteling, a DreamZine workshop at Museum West celebrating summer and 50 years of Surinamese independence, and art exhibitions at De Nijverheid exploring spring, identity, and growing up queer.

The Dreamers Collective was founded by Sophie Verbeek from a desire to bring more hope, connection, and awareness into motion.

We believe that dreaming is not an escape from reality, but a way of reshaping it. In a world that often revolves around productivity, speed, and individualism, we create space to slow down, make something with your hands, and reconnect with ourself, others, and the world around us.

Our philosophy begins with the seasons. Every season carries its own rhythm, energy, and wisdom. Summer invites us to bloom and be seen, autumn teaches us to let go, winter asks us to rest, and spring reminds us that we can begin again. By living more consciously with these rhythms, we make room for softness, self-knowledge, hope, and imagination.

The Dreamers Collective is for people who sometimes experience everyday life as chaotic, harsh, or hopeless, but still believe that another way of living is possible. For people who want to create, feel, share, slow down, celebrate, make impact and begin again.

Dream and create a new world.
Together, we make space for what is still possible.
